Osinbajo has said government was working tirelessly to deny corrupt people hiding place.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has reiterated the federal government’s unrelenting resolve to move decisively against those who have acted with impunity in the handling of public funds.

Osinbajo who was speaking at a symposium titled: “The best way to fund and sustain anti-corruption efforts in Nigeria”, organised by the Integrity Organisation and Convention on Business Integrity, said government was working tirelessly to deny corrupt people hiding place.
According to the Daily Post, Osinbajo who was represented by Prof. Itse Sagay at the event dismissed suggestions that the fight against corruption was responsible for the high cost of living, higher electricity tariffs and economic hardships currently faced by Nigerians.
He said corruption has certain elements which corrodes public trust, undermines the rule of law and delegitimises the state.

These are the very ailments that the Buhari administration’s fight against corruption seeks to remedy, ” he said.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Senate has thrown its weight behind President Muhammadu Buhariin in his determination to prosecute corrupt officials by passing a bill that will enable Nigerian looters in other countries to be repatriated and prosecuted.
According to The Nation, the executive bill is entitled: “A Bill for an Act to make provision for mutual assistance in criminal matters between Nigeria and other foreign states and for related matters, 2016”
The Senate on March 9 passed for third reading and possible passage into law the bill and the debate was led by Mohammed Ali Ndume, the Senate leader.
