In the first game Black Leopards fought out a 1-1 draw with Moroka Swallows. Roggert Nyundu was on the score sheet for the hosts at the Thohoyandou Stadium, Aleni Lebyane netting for the Johannesburg-based club.
At the Athlone Stadium, Cape Town All Stars went down to visitors Witbank Spurs 1-0. The Witbank side scored late in the first half through Peter Mubayiwa.
Stars piled on the pressure in the second stanza but despite numerous chances, could not find the net. The win takes Spurs top of the table, although they could be overtaken by Baroka FC on Sunday, the Limpopo side set to play AmaZulu.
Another Cape Town team, FC Cape Town also, lost this time to Royal Eagles 1-0 and the NNK Rugby Stadium with a first half penalty by Katlego Mphela was enough for the KZN outfit to claim all three points .
