What a very valuable point by the home side in their battle to extend their stay in the EPL. On the other hand, two very valuable points lost by the Etihad outfit, not only in their quest for the EPL title but also for Champion’s League football next season.
Man City were the better of the two sides at Carrow Road but could not find a way past Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy. Even with all their possession they were a shadow of their usual selves, frustrated by a dogged Norwich side fighting for their Premier League status.
This goalless draw appears to put the EPL title out of reach while the home team gained a crucial point to move closer to Sunderland in 17th.

Stoke 1-2 Southampton
Graziano Pelle’s brace in the first half hour ensured the Saints leapfrog the home side to move up to seventh in the League. Stoke fought back spiritedly and created several decent chances but could not complete their recovery despite reducing the advantage.
Pelle’s first goal for the Saints this year came in the 12th minute with a glancing header from Steven Davis’s corner.
Pelle’s brace and Southampton’s second goal came on the half hour mark when he played a one-two with Dusan Tadic before curling a sweet shot past Jack Butland.
Stoke came out for the second half with more confidence and determination. They got themselves back into the contest seven minutes in with Arnautovic’s strike, an audatious flick of his right foot from Affelay’s low cross towards the near post.
Southampton are now three points behind Manchester United in the chase for European football next season.
