Chelsea’s Diego Costa has denied trying to bite Gareth Barry in the Blues 2 – 0 loss to Everton in the FA Cup quarter-final at Goodison park.
Diego Costa was shown a second yellow card after an altercation with Barry in the second half of the tie and replay’s showed what looked like an attempt by the Spaniard to bite the Englishman.

A Chelsea spokesperson revealed that Diego Costa did not bite the midfielder but he was sorry that his actions caused his team to be one-man down.
Chelsea was involved in many confrontations throughout the game notably with Barry, Phil Jageilka, James McCarthy.

In the past, Liverpool’s Luis Suarez was banned for eight games when it was confirmed he bit Chelsea Branislav Ivanovic in the arm. The FA is yet to comment on the incident as at press time.
