Activists petition NGT against Jamtha stadium

Farmers organization Jai Jawan Jai Kisan, along with RTI activists TH Naidu and Ankita Shah, has filed a petition at the National Green Tribunal (NGT), Pune Bench, on Wednesday, pleading for orders to stop the use of Vidarbha Cricket Association's (VCA) Jamtha stadium. The petition also demands demolition of the stadium for not having building plan sanction, environment clearance, and consent to operate from Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB). The NGT will hold the first hearing in the case on Monday.
