You may notice that the way Catholics observe Easter celebration is different from other Christians.

The Catholics start preparing for Easter through forty days of Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday.

Most of the time, Catholics are bombarded with questions from their friends who want to know why they take Easter celebration so seriously.

Here are things that happen during Easter that only Catholics can relate to.

1. When you realize that you will actually be in church from Thursday to Sunday. Holy Thursday, Good Friday, the Vigil of Easter on Saturday night, and Easter Sunday.

2. When someone is nailed to a wooden cross as part of a Good Friday ritual, to re-enact the passion of Christ.

3. And on Good Friday, you cannot eat meat.

4. When you gather on Saturday night for a solemn vigil.

5. When it’s Easter and you can now eat meat.
