An oil and gas businessman has been implicated in a bizarre crime after operatives of the Lagos state police discovered pounded human flesh in a sack.

PM News reports that operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) apprehended one Ekene and after he was interrogated, he implicated the unnamed businessman and another suspect believed to be a herbalist.

Dolapo Badmos who is the public relations officer of the state police revealed that the three suspects were detained at the SARS office in Ikeja were they were undergoing interrogation.

According to report, Ekene was accosted by the police detective on routine checks along Bucknor area of Ejigbo. He was carrying a white sack containing undisclosed content.He was ordered to reveal the content of the sack and confessed it was human flesh. He claimed he was sent by the oil magnate.

Ekene said he was promised N500,000 by the oil magnate who asked him to abduct a baby for him.

He said N100,000 was paid to him as advance and he went and abducted a two year old baby for him which he took to a native doctor as he was directed.

He said he was on his way to deliver the already severed and pounded body and also receive his balance when the police apprehended him.

The police spokesperson said the oil magnate had not confessed yet which was responsible for the slow development of the case. She however said the police was stepping up investigation to arrest all those involved in the heinous crime.
