NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Thursday on the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq stock market:

Oil prices fell for the second consecutive day, pressuring energy companies.

Investors grew more optimistic that a court will allow the office supply company to combine with rival Staples even though regulators oppose the deal.
