Ekiti lawmaker returns home, receives heroic welcome in Ado-Ekiti (photos)
Afolabi Akanni, a member of Ekiti state House of Assembly representing Efon constituency, has finally returned home.
Akanni who spent 18 days in the custody the Department of State Services in Abuja regained freedom earlier this week. However, shortly after the release he was admitted in a private hospital in Abuja for medical treatment as he was very weak and had collapsed two times before.
The lawmaker, who had been earlier treated for malaria at the DSS detention facility, was receiving intravenous fluid therapy in the private hospital.

Today, March 24, Akanni arrived to a rousing welcome in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state.
Governor Ayodele Fayose, stakeholders, members and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party gathered at Fajuyi Park to give Akanni a heroic welcome.
