The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) found that not using all available weather information and inadequate awareness of aircraft limitations in icing conditions led to the severe icing encounter and forced landing of an Air Tindi Cessna 208B Caravan west of Yellowknife. There were no injuries to the pilot and 5 passengers, but the aircraft was substantially damaged.
