Grey's Anatomy Recap: April and Jackson's Co-Parenting Isn't Going to Be Pretty
At the start of Thursday's episode, we rewind a bit to the end of last week's, when Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) spilled the beans about April expecting.
Answer: A triple-organ transplant (lungs, liver, pancreas), overseen by Alex (Justin Chambers), on a young girl who's desperate to make it to her spring formal.
With everyone fighting exhaustion, the crew starts the operation minutes before midnight.
Next, Arizona turns to Bailey (Chandra Wilson), who yells at her for literally breaking the law by sharing confidential patient information - a fireable offense, as Bailey notes.
In the screaming match that ensues, April says she didn't tell him about the baby before they signed the divorce papers because she didn't want Jackson to stay in their marriage just for the baby's sake.
Back in Alex's OR, Meredith gets all dressed up for her date, but changes her mind at the last minute and ends up canceling on Thorpe - or rather, having Maggie cancel on him for her - and returning to the surgery.
[...] maybe the reason Owen hates Riggs being at the hospital so much is because with Riggs there, he can't push his sister out of his mind like he has for so many years.
[...] DeLuca is having second thoughts about taking his and Maggie's relationship public, since he's now getting teased by the other first-years and having to make awkward small talk with Webber.
Amelia shows up at Owen's trailer with a box of lobsters and finds him drunk as a skunk, having totally forgotten about his birthday celebration after his confrontation with Riggs.
(Not in that way, just giving her a lift.) They a great time chatting surgical techniques while munching on French fries in his car, and Meredith realizes that dating might not be so weird after all.
How well do the stars of Grey's Anatomy know medical jargon?
