Nothing goes to waste.

Pappadavada, a restaurant in Kochi, India, has placed a working fridge out front so patrons can leave leftovers for other people in need.

The idea came from the restaurant's owner, Minu Pauline, who was inspired to do something one night after she saw a homeless woman rummaging through a trash can for food.

Adding to Pauline's concern was the fact that Pappadavada had a lot of leftover, discarded food that night that could easily have been given to the woman or someone else in need.
