Bello reacts to Kogi Assembly crisis, says he is not aware of crisis in the state

Yahaya Bello, the Kogi state governor says he is not aware of crisis in the state
Governor Yahaya Bello has denied knowledge of the crisis currently rocking the state House of Assembly and the state in general, Daily Trust reports.
Bello stated this while speaking with journalists at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja after meeting with Abba Kyari, the chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.
He noted that the state is in “absolute peace” as the assembly is sitting and all legislative activities are ongoing.
“My house is sitting and we have absolute peace in Kogi state, I am not aware of the crisis in the state.

“The National Assembly was supposed to have taken over. The state is absolutely in peace and the legislative activities are ongoing.
“I am the executive governor and the executive is functioning. And we are doing the best we can. So, legislature is their own business and they are on it.
“I have a speaker that is sitting right now. So, I don’t know if there is any problem there,” he said.
Bello called for collaboration from Kogi people towards the growth and development of the state.

“This is not the time for political crisis, this is the time to work, and I’m here to work. I am not here to have any political fuss with anybody. Whoever is ready should join me and let’s fix Kogi State,” he added.
He informed that the state had not receive any bail-out funds from the federal government adding that the state’s application is being processed.
Meanwhile, the Kogi state House of Assembly was sealed on Wednesday, March 30 over lingering crisis rocking the state legislative house.
