Editor’s note: On March 31, 2015 some officials of the then ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by former minister, Godsday Orubebe, attempted to disrupt the announcement of the 2015 presidential election results. The former minister then accused the former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Attahiru Jega, of being bias and siding with the All Progressive Congress (APC).
In this piece by Dickson Senibo, the writer takes a look at alleged injustice and deception Orubebe predicted a year ago that has now come to pass.
Former minister, Godswill Orubebe, caused a stir when he accused former INEC chairman of siding with APC.
Exactly one year ago Elder GODSDAY ORUBEBE then PDP presidential coalition agent to the best of ability fought deception of Nigerians yet they called him lawless and one standing against democratic tendencies.
Today Nigerians are now seeing what he saw then,
1. Fuel scarcity.
2. Naira falling helplessly.
3. Transportation fairs are much higher.
4. Live stocks prices soaring upwards.
5. 2016 budget yet to be assented even by March 31 2016.
6.Nigeria’s national team failing to qualify for nations cup.
7. Always travelling president of Nigeria.
8. Fighting political enemies in guise of corruption.
9. Governor and Deputy slapping theme.
10. Deployment of soldiers by a minister for electioneering rigging.
11. Abandonment of EAST/WEST Road.
12. Inconclusive elections conducted by INEC.
If we had known he knew these things would’ve been averted.
