Congratulations! You just witnessed one of the greatest comebacks in stock market history (SPX, SPY, QQQ)

The first quarter of 2016 is in the books.

And if you're reading this, you just witnessed one of the greatest comebacks in stock market history.

Ryan Detrick of LPL Financial pointed out on Twitter that this is the first time in over 80 years that the stock market finished green for a quarter after being down by more than 10%.

It is official, this was the first quarter for the SPX since 4Q '33 to be down >10% and finish green.

The quarter kicked off with stocks sinking 11.3% from January into mid-February.

There was talk of a recession and general economic calamity. And then came the rally.

US economic data came in stronger, stocks surged, and everything seemed all right again.

So here we are, three months in and the S&P is 30 points up for 2016.
