During investigation in a theft case, a 42-year-old man from Odisha was allegedly tortured by Jeevan Bima Nagar police on March 19. Mahendar was brought to the station for interrogation after Purohit, his employer of 12 years, accused him of stealing Rs 3.6 lakh from his house.
