The body of an infant was found on the footpath of Irwin Road near Cheluvamba Hospital on Thursday. Devaraja police said autorickshaw drivers alerted them after they noticed the body at a worksite near the hospital. It was wrapped in a white cloth and placed on a mound of sand.
