Popular Nigerian singer, songwriter and professional photographer, Toyin Shokefun Bello better known as TY Bello has hinted on her journey to stardom.

While giving a speech on Building A Photography Business class attended by Naij.com’s Wuraola Zainab at the Nigerian Entertainment Conference, the star explained that she started photography as a career during the military era when photographers were seen as spys.

In her words, “I took my first trip to Jackie Philips studio in 1990”.  She how she was gifted a camera as her birthday gift by her elder sister in 1999.

Ty encouraged all in the class to pursue education first as she was a graduate of Economics before delving into photography.

She advised that “The best time to start something is before people begin to look in the direction” “because when I began there were no much photographers”.

Recall that TY Bello discovered the bread seller turned model, Olajumoke Oriseguna while shooting British-Nigerian musician, Tinie Tempah.
