5 funny blunders of the Nollywood movie industry
If you are a Nigerian, then you would be familiar with some of the gaffes associated with the Nollywood movie industry. Although this movie industry has made remarkable improvements, there are certain things they need to put into consideration.
Yes, we enjoy most of the movies produced by this industry as they help us relax after a very long day at work. We also commend the effort of the artistes who do their best possible when playing different roles.
Most of the things we see as an error either make us laugh hard or piss some people off they stop watching the movie. But we would not dispute the fact that they add to our amusement and make the movie more interesting.
We present to you some of the hilarious things seen as faults in the Nollywood movie industry:
1. When the soundtrack tells you all about the movie
It takes serious effort making some Nigerians watch our home videos; this is because they feel they know what the movie is about from the title or the very first song heard. What we do not understand is why the movie industry cannot play neutral songs as soundtracks.
Must the soundtrack tell the entire story? Where then is the suspense?

2. When the subtitles are filled with ‘gbagaun’
Really, putting subtitles should not be a do or die affair ‘nah’. If the editors cannot take their time to translate the language and put the correct words in the subtitle, then they should not bother adding subtitles in the first place.
The subtitles in addition to being filled with grammatical errors are being relayed just as the speakers have said them.
3. When someone gets shot in the hand and holds the chest
This is not fair; why point a gun at someone’s hand and then make the person who got shot hold the chest? Is this some error or what? What are you trying to preach? The hand and chest are the same.
4. When an actor shoots and blood spills from the gun
Now this is really annoying. We know you want to make the movie as real as possible but why go to the extreme in the process? When the blood comes out before the target gets shot, and then this is absurd.

5. When the doctors go about with stethoscope
Okay, we know he is a doctor already. Does he need to wear the stethoscope everywhere before we know that is the character he is acting? And must the doctors always shake their heads when they want to announce the death of a patient? This calls for some review, we know all the signs we are getting bored of them.
