WHERE ARE THEY NOW? The players that NBA teams are kicking themselves for drafting before Draymond Green in 2012

The Golden State Warriors hold a certain underdog type of mentality.

No one embodies that more than Draymond Green, who has evolved from a second-round pick to a role player, starter, and now, a legitimate NBA superstar.

Green is not only valuable to the Warriors, but he holds his own as one of the best players in the entire league. Green was second in the NBA in triple-doubles this season, and he's flummoxed teams with his ability to handle the ball, shoot three-pointers, and guard all five positions at 6-foot-6.

That he lasted until the 35th pick in the 2012 NBA draft has a number of teams kicking themselves. Here's a look at some of the most notable players drafted before Green four years ago:

The 2012 draft looks like a good one for the most part. Anthony Davis was taken with the No. 1 pick by the then New Orleans Hornets.

Today, Davis is an All-NBA forward for the New Orleans Pelicans.

There were other good first-round choices. Bradley Beal was drafted third by the Washington Wizards.
