Yobo: “Everybody wants to come and play in my testimonial”

According to Joseph Yobo, the former captain of the Super Eagles, numerous players want to come and play in his testimonial match.

The former player of  Everton, Norwich and Fenerbahce has been visiting his former clubs and speaking to players expected at the game.

He said: “It has been amazing. Almost everybody wants to come and play. My only regret is that I can’t invite everybody.”

Premier League legends John Terry, Thierry Henry and Wayne Rooney have been confirmed to take part in the upcoming Joseph Yobo’s testimonial. Former Barcelona striker, Samuel Eto’o, and former Arsenal midfielder Alexander Song are expected to be part of the game on May 27. Others confirmed are Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike, Andre, Lualua, Jordan Ayew.

Yobo won 100 caps for the Super Eagles and retired from international football after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

His testimonial will be played at the Amiesimaka International Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on May 27.
