ABC Cancels Castle After 8 Seasons

After weeks of debate over whether or not the show would be returning for a ninth season without Stana Katic, ABC confirmed to TVGuide.com the current season will be the show's last.

Executive producers had said earlier that, if the series concluded this year, a scene had been shot that would allow the series to end with closure.
