Detroit museum outdoor art effort heads to northern Michigan

DETROIT (AP) — A Detroit museum's effort to bring art to unexpected places will feature installations in Alpena and Traverse City as well as on Mackinac Island.

In Alpena, reproductions of Vincent van Gogh's "Portrait of Postman Roulin" and John Singleton Copley's "Watson and the Shark" go on view; Mackinac Island hosts "Dancers in the Green Room" by Edgar Degas and "Self Portrait" by Paul Gauguin.
