Europa League final: 5 reasons Jurgen Klopp will lead Liverpool to victory
– The 2016 Europa League final will be played between two European giants in Liverpool and Sevilla
– Sevilla are in the final of the Copa Del Rey, Liverpool lost the Capital One cup final earlier in the season
With the Europa League final looming, Liverpool fans might feel right to be shaky given their inconsistent form on the domestic stage but this writer reckons they need not fear.
Jurgen Klopp has done well to get to two finals this season despite inheriting a squad who look lost. The Capital One Cup final might have been lost but they is every chance to make up for that with the Europa League final.
Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool FC manager
1. The fans have their support: The buzz around the Europa League final is not the fact that Sevilla have gotten to a third consecutive final but that Liverpool have a chance to win their first European title in eleven years.
Even the Liverpool council have arranged for a trophy parade after the match because they are so sure they can win. Recently news filtered through that Jurgen Klopp has decided to beg fans not to overcrowd the venue for the final after promissing to take 100,000 fans (the stadium does not even hold 40,000 people).
2. A better playing squad: Lets face it, Liverpool have a really cool squad. Barring injuries, Daniel Sturridge is one of the best forwards in the game, you could argue Phil Coutinho to be the best attacking midfielder also but the problem is their defense and goalkeeper.
No offense to Simon Mignolet, Mohamadu Sakho ro Martin Skrtel but Liverpool could do better than the bunch.
Even their defenders look better than their rivals but with the emergence of Emre Can, the tenacity of James Milner and guile of Jordan Henderson, Liverpool look likely to win the battle. On paper at least.

3. They know whats at stake: Liverpool failed to qualify for Europe next season through their eighth place finish this season which has put greater importance on winning the final.
Sevilla also failed to qualify for the Europa League next season but there is a general feeling that Liverpool deserve it more after those amazing comebacks against Dortmund in the quarter-final and Villarreal in the semi’s.
4. The players look up for the fight: Despite Simon Mignolet recently saying he does not want to be the hero in the final, Liverpool players have been more vocal about their chances in the final than Sevilla which pretty much says it all.
The likes of Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Phil Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge have all spoken of the Reds chance of winning the title and have all spoken of the hunger to win meanwhile Sevilla look contented to have made a third consecutive final with the Copa Del Rey final also forming some part of the distraction.
5. Captain Henderson is back: A huge boost for Liverpool is the return of captain Jordan Henderson who has been turning in impressive performances for years now.
He has even been included in England’s Euro 2016 squad alongside fellow clubmates Nathaniel Clyne, James Milner, Daniel Sturridge.
This news is a huge morale booster ahead of such a crucial match at the end of the season.
The final will be played on Wednesday, May 16 at Basel’s St’ Jakub’s Part in Switzerland.
