Mr Fatai Adisa, husband of one of the victims of the collapsed shopping mall at Itoku, Abeokuta last Friday has declared that the condition of his wife is much more critical and still worrisome.

He disclosed that, aside the deceased woman, his wife, Afusat Adisa, 26, condition is much more than any of the victims, as she has both her hand and leg fractured with other terrible wounds both internally and externally.
The woman, who was operated due to internal bleeding was the only one present at the female ward of the state hospital, Ijaye, Abeokuta among the victims.
Others are reported to still be at the emergency section, (ETR) of the hospital while few others were gathered to have been admitted at the Federal Medical Centre,FMC, Idi aba, Abeokuta.
They both resides at No 13,Odo Oyo way, Abeokuta.
Afusat is a mother of four with the eldest one’s age is 11 while the last one is just two years old. Speaking with our correspondent Monday afternoon, May 16, the man, who wore native attire explained that he has not been himself since the incident occurred last Friday as there is no one to help him.
He told our correspondent that his mother is aged and his wife is a complete orphan, having lost both parent, added that his only sister, just put to bed recently.
He thanked the state governor, Ibikunle Amosun for his prompt action in rescuing the victims and his decision to foot all the medical bills of the victims.
Adisa, a generator mechanic narrated his ordeal and the critical condition of his wife.
According to him:”I thank God for everything, at least,one person was confirmed dead in the incident and my wife is still alive.
“When I received call that she was among the victims,I lost my senses and don’t know what I was doing again. She has been working with them since the beginning of the project.
“I can confirm to you that my wife condition is the highest after the deceased. She had fractured in both hand and her leg. Also,she has been having internal bleeding but operation has been carried out on her few days ago.

“When I got here this morning, I can noticed some changes in her. Unlike yesterday,she can’t sit down, but this morning,her bed has been raised up a bit and with the way I saw her face today,I can see hope in her face.
“I want to thank the Governor and the Nurses for their support and promptness all the time. Though, she can’t be eating anything for now,she has been placed under serious medical observations and I strongly believe that after it all,we will have the cause to thank God”, Mr Adisa posited.
The staffs prevented journalists from taking the pictures of the victims on the sick bed, reasons, which were not made known to the newsmen.
Efforts to speak with the chief medical director of the hospital on the development proved abortive as he was sighted rushing to the state secretariat, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta to meet with the permanent secretary, Health Management Board, (HMB).
