Einhorn's Greenlight Capital adds Apple, GM, Yahoo and Yelp shares

David Einhorn's Greenlight Capital has raised stakes in Apple Inc. , General Motors Co. , Yahoo Inc. and Yelp Inc. in the first three months of the year, according to a regulatory filing submitted Monday. The hedge fund boosted its stake in Apple to 8.21 million shares from 6.28 million in the fourth quarter. It also bought more than a million shares in GM to boost its stake to 15.29 million shares while doubling its Yahoo holding to 4.4 million shares from 2.03 million shares in the previous quarter. Meanwhile, Greenlight now holds 3.23 million shares of Yelp versus 383,266 shares it held at the end of the fourth quarter. Based on the companies' stock performances in the first quarter, Greenlight made money on Apple and Yahoo but lost with GM and Yelp.
