Man shot several times while repairing car in Boyle Heights

A man in his 20s was shot several times Monday night while repairing a car in Boyle Heights, authorities said.

The shooting occurred about 6:15 p.m. near 5th and State streets, according to Los Angeles Police Officer Mike Lopez.
