Consider the masses who vote you there – Buhari supporter writes emotional letter

Editor’s note: The removal of fuel subsidy has affected the way Nigerians perceive President Muhammadu buhari who was considered by all to make a change in their lives.

In this open letter, Olabode Akeem Olaitan begs President Buhari to revert the decision he took on fuel subsidy and always remember the masses who had faith in him before voting him as president.

Mr President

I must commend your job since the attainment of the presidential seat, especially on the issue of Boko Haram, I so much have confidence in your government to the extend that I was patient and still patient for the better change we voted for.

However, I must confess am puzzled at this moment as to whether you are the Messiah all poor Nigerians have been waiting for, the recent Fulani herdsmen attack makes the country’s security not attained, same as killing and kidnapping in various part of the country prove a threat on the life of the citizens.

Furthermore, as if that was not enough, the fuel subsidy removal that was announced gives me more headache, it is obvious that any increase in Kerosene’s price will not bother the citizens because there are alternatives like coal pot, gas cooker, hot plate, e.t.c, but this is not the case with petrol. How can a government that have the feelings of its citizens at heart take such decision without any alternative?

In our country Nigeria, petrol is the source of most business men and women, so how can you remove subsidy from petrol at a period when there is 23 hours of black out in most part of the country, at the same time our currency has lost its value. Are you not inflicting more pain on the poor masses? Transportation will be more expensive, goods and food stuff will be more expensive, business will be expensive to run and as such make everything obtainable expensive. Mr President, please look into this natter because I believe you won’t do anything without a genuine reason, but as you are implementing policy, consider the masses who vote you there.

Once again Your Excellency, I strongly believe in your government, please don’t make me and other Nigerians who voted for change regret ever voting you.
