The Tell: ‘Absolute’-ly avoid these funds

In the wake of the financial crisis, demand for absolute-return funds picked up, but, according to data sent out on Twitter over the weekend, their performance — at least as judged by any fund with the term “absolute” in its name — has been abysmal.
