GOP-led House moves ahead with bill to boost military budget

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House is pressing ahead with a $602 billion defense policy bill that Republicans say will help stop an erosion of the U.S. military's combat readiness by purchasing more weapons and forbidding further cuts in troop levels.
