An EgyptAir flight from Paris to Cairo has disappeared from radar

EgyptAir, the national airline of Egypt, has said that one of its planes heading from Paris to Cairo disappeared from radar Wednesday night.

An informed source at EGYPTAIR stated that Flight no MS804,which departed Paris at 23:09 (CEST),heading to Cairo has disappeared from radar.

Flight MS804 lost contact with radar at 2:45 a.m. on Thursday, Cairo time (8:45 p.m. EST Wednesday), the airline announced. The flight was scheduled to land at 3:05 a.m.

The airline said a search and rescue team is being assembled.

According to the airline, the plane faded from radar 10 miles inside Egyptian airspace. The Airbus A320 had apprently reached an elevation of 37,000 feet around the moment it disappeared.
