Now that the election is over, traders in the region are relieved, as the cap for transporting cash has been removed. Though the enforcement of the model code of conduct would officially be lifted only after the winners in the election are notifed by the Election Commission of India, traders hope that the vehicle checks would come to a stop since polling is over.
