More than $420K improvements planned for Texas City Dike

The Galveston County Daily News (http://bit.ly/1RbaBPt ) reports the Texas City City Commission on Wednesday agreed to spend $221,000 to improve Bay Street Park, with new pavilions, a trail and a pedestrian bridge.

Commissioners will spend $200,000 to help the state fund an oyster reef restoration project in Galveston Bay.
