Morley Safer Dies at 84

Morley Safer, the longtime 60 Minutes correspondent who retired just last week, died Thursday, CBS News reports.

"After more than 50 years of broadcasting on CBS News and 60 Minutes,I have decided to retire," Safer said of his decision last week.

Safter began his journalism career in Canada, where he was a correspondent and producer for the CBC.
