Cyclone Roanu Batters Bangladesh; At Least 21 Killed And Half A Million Evacuated
A powerful cyclone that battered the coast of Bangladesh Saturday left at least 21 people dead and forced the relocation of over 500,000 people from low-lying areas.
“We've shifted most of the people who are vulnerable,” Bangladesh’s Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, reportedly said. “All-out preparations are in place to tackle the damage.”
