NOI Polls limited, the public opinion poll, has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari received 64% average rate of his first year in office.
The poll conducted a series of monthly presidential approval ratings to appraise the job performance of the incumbent leader since his inauguration on May 29, 2015.
In the review, that was unveiled on May 30, Monday, Buhari got the highest rating of 80% in October 2015, and lowest rating of 42% in April 2016.

Those respondents who approved Buhari’s performance so far quoted the improved security (31%), the fight against corruption (17%) and the president’s good intentions (16%).
Meanwhile, President Buhari was appraised very low on job creation at 14%, and handling of the economy at 21%.
The report reads in part: “Interestingly, compared to one year ago, 44% of Nigerians believe the country is currently moving in the right direction, while 37% believe it’s moving in the wrong direction, leaving only 19% who believe the country is neither moving in the right nor wrong direction.
“Furthermore, in terms of specific indicators, Nigerians rated the president’s performance on corruption at 55%, national security, 47 % as average, while he was rated very poorly on job creation, 14% and handling of the economy, 21%.’’
The NOI poll based on geo-political zones showed that the North-west and North-east geopolitical zones with 81% each had the highest proportion of respondents who ranked the president’s job performance high, while the South-south and South-east zones with 35% each kept the highest proportion of respondents who disapproved of the president’s performance.

President Buhari was elected with the change agenda last year. He renewed the hope for the Nigerian people.
However, the incumbent government has come under heavy criticisms even from some of its devoted supporters over some policies initiated during the last one year.
