Femi Adesina, the senior special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on media, has confessed he is facing some challenges in managing his boss.

Adesina, a media expert, while speaking at the monthly meeting of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Abuja chapter, listed the challenges to include the president’s reticence and thriftiness.
This revelations are coming two days after President Buhari addressed Nigerians on his one year in office which coincides with the country’s democracy day celebration.
The spokesman also said managing Buhari has become difficult because many people who did not vote for him in 2015 have continued in their pre-election mode criticising him at every opportunity.
This set of Nigerians according to him, have refused to accept the reality that the election had been won and lost.
Femi Aribisala, a columnist, recently called the Buhari administration the worst government in history.
Vanguard is reporting that as a result of the president’s reticence, the media team now adopts various strategies to manage him.
Adesina described Buhari as tough, disciplined, transparent, incorruptible and modest.
Part of the strategies adopted by the media team includes informing the public consistently on the ideals and programmes of the president, expanding information; educating the public about the brand called Buhari and defending the brand.

Adesina noted that Buhari’s forthrightness was a reason he did not challenge Prime Minister David Cameron’s assertion that Nigeria’s is ‘fantastically corrupt’.
He said though not all Nigerians are corrupt, the volume of corruption in the country remains high.
