The recovered looted fund from individuals and some former government officials so far has been described as only the tip of the iceberg by the federal government, adding that more surprises are on the way.
Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture revealed this in Abuja at the inaugural Buharimeter town hall meeting organized by the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), in partnership with Department for International Development (DFID) and Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA).
The minister said the cash recoveries totaling N78.3bn; $185m; £3.5m and €11, 250 recovered from May29, 2015 to May 25 this year is a child’s play compared to coming details, Daily Trust reports.

The meeting had five federal ministers Babatunde Raji Fashola (Power, works and Housing), Amina Mohammed (Environment),Udoma Udo Udoma (Budget and National Planning), and AuduOgbeh (Agriculture and Rural Development) – in attendance and was meant to give the scorecard of their one year in office.
Mohammed reminded the audience that the administration campaigned on three broad areas namely corruption, security and to revamp the economy and even though the administration has not met all its targets, he assures that it is on track in meeting up.
During the town hall meeting the minister of information said he committed a sin against Nigerians by talking too much during the All Progress Congress (APC), campaigns before the 2015 general elections.
He said: “I believe that my only sin is talking too much before the elections and I now have to pay the price.” “The first one was held in Lagos. Any meaningful assessment must be situated within the right context.
