Fayose’s aide lists enemies of Ekiti state, find out who they are
– For allegedly accusing Governor Ayodele Fayose of being responsible for the non-inclusion of Ekiti in some programmes of the federal government, Babafemi Ojudu, an aide to Yemi Osinbajo, has been verbally attacked
– Lerel Olayinka challenged Ekiti people to ask Ojudu and Kayode Fayemi, a minister, what they have done for Ekiti people with their positions other than cause confusion
– Aide to Fayemi says it is not necessary replying Olayinka as this would mean giving him unnecessary importance
Media aide to Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state, Lere Olayinka, Friday went for the Minister of Solid of Solid Minerals and former governor of the state, Kayode Fayemi, asking him to tell the people of the state what he has done for them months after becoming a minister.

Olayinka also challenged the people of the state to ask Babafemi Ojudu, the political adviser to Yemi Osinbajo, the vice president, how he had helped Ekiti since his appointment five months ago.
He called Ojudu, a former senator, the number one enemy whose views are always geared towards causing political instability in the state.
He also asked the political appointee to point to any achievement recorded throughout his four years in the senate.
Ojudu had reportedly disclosed that Fayose was responsible for the non-inclusion of the state in the federal government school feeding programme as well as other intervention programmes and this had provoked Olayinka.

“For a programme that was held on June 9, 2016, a mail was sent by one Titilola Adeyemi to the state commissioner for Budget and Planning, Gbenga Olajide, on June 8, 2016 at exactly 3:56 pm, asking that a list of participants from Ekiti state be sent before the close of business that same day. No prior invitation was received.
“The commissioner sent a mail on June 9 requesting clarification on the mail sent by Titilola Adeyemi but up till now, no response has been received.
“How could Ekiti state have participated in a programme held on June 9 when invitation was only received on June 8 at 3:56pm?”
“Ekiti people should ask former Governor Kayode Fayemi who is the minister of Solid Minerals what step he has taken on the solid minerals in the state since he assumed office and what Ojudu has done for the state since he was appointed special adviser to the vice president on political matters apart from trying to use his position to destabilise the Fayose-led government.
He said contrary to Ojudu’s claim, there was no National Economic Council (NEC) meeting that Ekiti state did not attend, adding: “States do not need to go cap-in-hands to beg in Abuja to get what should be due to them.”

Olayinka said it was a shame that Ojudu was trying to cover up the roles that he played in trying to prevent the inclusion of Ekiti state in the proposed school feeding programme by deliberately delaying sending of invitation to the state despite that all necessary requirements were complied with by the state government.
He said: “It is on record that President Mohammadu Buhari never attended the council of state meetings from 2003 till 2015. He only attended in January 2015 when the decision to reschedule the presidential election was to be taken.
“Despite Buhari’s refusal to attend the council of state meetings, he was not denied his entitlements as a former head of state. His home state, Katsina, was never denied its benefits by the PDP-led federal government then.
“Ojudu waged war against Otunba Niyi Adebayo when he was governor, he waged war against Fayose during his first tenure as governor, the same Ojudu waged war against Engineer Segun Oni and went on to lie that Oni set fire on his residence in Ado-Ekiti, and since Fayose assumed office, Ojudu has been waging war against the governor hoping to truncate his government so as to pave way for his governorship ambition.

“However, one thing he must know this time around is that Ekiti people are wiser. Ekiti people will no longer succumb to the evil machinations of a man who was in the senate for four years and did not affect the lives of anyone in Ekiti state positively, not even his immediate family members.”
When NAIJ.com contacted Olayinka Oyebode, the media aide to Fayemi, he simply said there was nothing to comment on the allegation as that would mean giving Olayinka undue relevance.
“I can’t comment on Lere Olayinka. I think there are better things and developments in the country to talk about.
“He is fund of doing this and it is not necessary to respond to him,” he said.
Calls to Ojudu were not taken. A text message to his phone was also not responded to at the time of this story.
Fayose is known as a major critic of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration. Through Olayinka, he releases statements on different aspects of the challenges in the nation.
Members of the Ekiti Kete South-South/South-East movement recently condemned the governor for making reckless utterances especially against Buhari.
Meanwhile, Lere Olayinka has alleged that the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice, Abubakar Malami, is coordinating a plot against him and four others.
