CNBC's Half Time team are going all in to try and be crowned Wall Street's top athletes
An event to decide the most athletic team on Wall Street is taking place on Saturday June 11, and a team from CNBC's Half Time Report are doing everything they can do to be competitive.
The traders and television personalities have been training for months to compete at the grueling competition, which will take in 10 different events.
The event raises money for charity, and all proceeds go to benefit pediatric cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Since it began in 2009, the Decathlon has raised $6.8 million.
Teams go head-to-head in a 400-meter run, football throw, pull-ups, 40-yard dash, dips, 500-meter row, vertical jump, 20-yard shuttle, bench press, and an 800-meter run.
The CNBC Halftime Report Team has four competitors.
Jon Najarian, a former linebacker for the Chicago Bears turned options trader, wealth advisor and cofounder of Najarian Advisors, and Andy McOrmond, a managing director at WallachBeth Capital, have competed together before.
Another team member, Kenny Gats, is a marathoner who Najarian met in the CNBC gym.
"He's got incredible stamina" said Najarian. "Runs for a full hour five days a week. He's training for both marathons and Tough Mudder competitions, so we thought he'd bring great competitive times to the 400M and 800M in the Decathlon."
The team's fourth member is Jon Hernandez, a professional chef at CNBC and a "gym rat," according to Najarian.

Najarian has been training for months.
Jon NarajianNajarian has eliminated carbs and lost 20 lbs during the course of the last four months of training. He has been training five days a week, with a mix of rowing, cardio, stair climbing and lifting.
He is targeting every event, but really focused on the 500M row."I've had some shoulder issues since my football days," he said, "and it's a challenge every time I do it. But I have managed to get a fair amount of time on the iron this year and hope to be respectable."

CNBC's drone will be out there following his team, so the pressure is on.
Andy McOrmond has been training wherever he can.
Andy McormondAndy McOrmond, a managing director at WallachBeth Capital and another member of the CNBC Halftime Report Traders team, said the event is gruelling, having to run sprints and then switch to lifting weights to something entirely different.
"This year, I have 200 people who donated," he said, "and I'm doing it for them. I'm going to give it 120%. We all know someone who has had cancer."
