Former chief minister Tarun Gogoi came down heavily on centre for launching the open bidding for exploration and extraction in 12 discovered small oil and gas fields of the state ignoring the previous state government’s pleas to hand over these fields to the three state hydrocarbon PSUs—Assam Hydro carbon & Energy Co Ltd, Assam Gas Company Limited and Assam Power Generation Co Ltd.
