Bill O'Reilly Mourns For The Good Ole Days When London Was White

0

If ever there was a perfect illustration of the emotion that drove Brexiters Thursday, it's Bill O'Reilly moaning about how, when he lived in London in 1970, it was a very white place.

O'Reilly spent his junior year of college at Queen Mary College in London, in 1970. Those good ole days when London was white and you didn't find brown people hovering in the shadows. No, really.

"And what has happened over the past 30 years is that the British system has allowed so many people in, and those folks generally speaking, have not assimilated," BillO explained. "So that if you go to parts of London, you are not really in England, you are in Pakistan, or you are in the Middle East, or you are in the West Indies. And everybody knows this."

Kind of like Little Italy, or Chinatown, I guess. And this is a bad thing?

And then BillO took the next little step right smack-dab into the reason that global markets are tanking, people are shocked, and young people in England's futures just got dimmer.

"I think that when with the open border EU policy where anybody can go anywhere at any time, that the English people said you know what? Enough. We're not feeling comfortable with being overwhelmed, and we are feeling under siege," he supposed. "And that's what they voted on. I don't think it was economic. I think it was all about immigration."
