Supergirl Is Adding a Gay DC Character in Season 2

Supergirl is adding to its Season 2 roster by casting The Family's Floriana Lima, who will play DC Comics character Maggie Sawyer in a series regular role, TVGuide.com has learned.

In DC Comics lore, Sawyer is a gay cop from Star City (the home of Green Arrow) working for police units in Gotham (the home of Batman) and Metropolis (the home of Superman), and is involved in a romantic relationship with Batwoman.
