This is the beautiful location where scenes for the new 'Star Wars' movie were shot

The new "Star Wars" movie, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" comes out this December.

Many of the scenes that will appear in the new movie were filmed in the Maldives, including an already iconic one that features a line of Stormtroopers wading through the sparkling waters of the Indian Ocean.

At a panel during the annual Star Wars Celebration which discussed the new movie, director Gareth Edwards explained that this scene takes place in Scarif, which is supposed to be a "paradise world."

Since the Maldives is known as a real-life paradise, it's no wonder he chose this spot for filming.
