Starbucks shares slide as revenue misses Street view

Starbucks Corp. shares declined in the extended session Thursday after the coffee chain's quarterly revenue fell short of Wall Street estimates. Starbucks shares fell 4.7% to $54.90 after hours. The company reported adjusted fiscal third-quarter earnings of 49 cents a share on revenue of $5.24 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had forecast earnings of 49 cents a share on revenue of $5.34 billion. The company forecast fiscal fourth-quarter earnings between 54 cents and 55 cents a share, while analysts expect 55 cents a share.
