Supernatural Adds Rick Springfield to Season 12

Producers announced during the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel on Sunday that musician Rick Springfield will be joining the cast as one of Lucifer's new vessels.

Most rock stars can only sing and very few can act.

The panel also included a teaser for Season 12 which previewed the return of the Winchester boys' mother, Mary Winchester (Samantha Smith).

The teaser ends with a chilling, "Come home," message.
