Mr Raymond Dokpesi, a leading contestant in the race for national chairman of PDP has denied being a stooge for President Muhammadu Buhari inside the PDP so that he could be left alone by the government.
In a statement by Omor Bazuaye, his media aide, Dokpesi said he is a full blooded member of PDP and has no business with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Reacting to questions from Senator Makanjuola Ajadi, a former Senator representing Kwara South senatorial district, when he took his campaign to PDP headauarters in Ilorin in Kwara State, Dokpesi said the question that he is in the race to serve as a mole for Buhari and the APC in PDP has trailed his campaign.
However, Dokpesi denied it saying there is not a single iota of truth in the theory. He said he can never work for Buhari and his APC, narrating his ordeal in the hands of the military dictator when he took over in a coup in 1983.

He said he was arrested and detained unjustly for months when he served as head political in defunct Gongola State.
“During that era people were jailed for 200 years and 100 years for the rest of their lives. Is what is happening now different from what happened then”, he asked.
Dokpesi said he tried to warn Nigerians before the elections but they didn’t listen, adding that now that everything he said is playing out before their eyes and he has no regret or apologies to render.
He asked his supporters to disregard such speculations or at best consider them as the evil machinations of persons too scared of his rising political rising profile and campaign.
About his case with Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), another question that has followed the trail, Dokpesi said he has built a solid case, confident that he would have his day in court.
He said the matter is in court and it would be subjudice for him to say anything; requesting that people should at least give him the fair benefit. He however maintained that he was paid for services rendered.

EFCC sources said Dokpesi was arrested because the Central Bank Nigeria paid N2.1billion to the AIT chairman on the instructions of the Dasuki.
