Canadian cyclist Ryder Hesjedal will retire at end of 2016 season

The 35-year-old Victoria native won the 2012 Giro d’Italia won stages in the Vuelta a Espana (2009, 2014), earned a second place in the Amstel Gold Race (2010), and fifth overall in the Tour de France (2010).
