Olympic terror suspect's parents deny son's involvement
Brazilians are on edge after a wave of terror attacks in Europe and threats by ISIS to disrupt the Olympic games, which run from Aug. 5 to Aug. 21, 2016. Brazil made about a dozen detentions of suspected ISIS sympathizers in late July. The resident Alisson Luan de Oliveira, a teenager suspected of being involved in a terrorist plot, was caught in this once surfer's paradise the earlier week feeding cautionary tales involving the global reach of social media and the gray areas between interest in and support of the self-described Islamic State.
