City Power is working with the Independent Electoral Commission on Wednesday to ensure a steady electricity supply throughout the elections.

Johannesburg - City Power is working with the Independent Electoral Commission on Wednesday to ensure a steady electricity supply throughout the elections.

“To reassure the residents of Johannesburg, we have put together a technical team at all our depots, placed back-up generators, resources and contingency plans to ensure a reliable supply of electricity and quick response to restoration of power in the event of power interruption”, said Yumna Sheik, spokesperson for City Power.

The utility would keep customers updated on the situation regarding its services throughout the day, she said.

Customers who experience loss of power can call the City of Joburg call centre at 0860-562-874 or log a call onto City Power’s website www.citypower.co.za by clicking on “Fault Logging”.
